Pamela has also co-authored several ground breaking social history books. Based on hundreds of her own interviews these books are crucial testimonies of the hidden experience of many.. Childhood abuse, domestic violence, drug addiction and crime are just a few of the issues which were seen as taboo in the first half of the 20th century. Many of the interviewees speak out for the first time, making the decision to share memories with Pamela that they had long kept secret.
