Director Pamela Gordon is one of Britain’s foremost documentary filmmakers. During a career spanning more than 30 years, Gordon has examined the social and sexual mores of the UK’s pre-war years, exposed the hidden world of young runaways from social care, investigated Russia’s brutal and deadly tactics when ending the Moscow Theatre Siege, took Gordon Ramsey behind bars to confront the failures of our prison system and catalogued the dying days of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership. Gordon’s films rely on striking imagery, powerful emotional testimony and a sharp eye for injustice.

Her latest project, Lion - The Rise and Fall of the Marsh Pride, is the first feature documentary collaboration between the BBC and the Natural History Unit. Her film combines her skill at capturing eloquent and moving human stories with the plight of lions who are fast disappearing from the African continent.

Pamela is also a freelance Executive Producer.
